  • Login to your PayPal account.
  • From the option bar available at the home screen, select Activity.
  • Now scroll down and up to find and select the payment that you want to refund.
  • The next screen will open up showing you the details about the payment.
  • Under the purchase details section just below the bifurcation of the payment, you will find the tab for "Refund this payment" button. Select it to refund PayPal payment.
  • Here comes a very important step as you need to enter the amount that you want to return to the buyer.
  • If you have any doubt, you can get into the "Fee refund policy" section.
  • If everything looks fine, click the "Issue Refund" button.

How to issue partial refund on PayPal?

To refund a partial payment on PayPal, all you need is just enter the partial amount in the total refund amount section. And then finally, click issue refund. In case full refund is the only option but you need to send a partial refund then you can initiate a new payment through the send and request page.
